Star Wars: Visions – Season 3 Review

The third season of “Visions” is an odd one. The first season had the whole fresh ideas and “weird, Star Wars made by anime studios!” thing going for it, and Season 2 had fresh ideas from animations studios around the world. This season is more shorts by anime studios, some of which are sequels to ones from the first season, so it all feels less special this time round. Some are good, some are middling, some are bad, as per usual with any collection of short stories, but overall I felt this was the weakest Season of the three. Let’s take a look, anyway (and with no Spoiler Section because that would just take too long to recap the ends of all nine shorts…)

Star Wars: Visions – Season 2 Review

I really enjoyed the original Visions back in 2021, made entirely of anime shorts, so hearing of a second season was exciting enough but hearing it included studios from all over the globe made it really interesting as well, so I’m happy to report that Season 2 lived up to both those expectations and delivered another fun selection of unrestrained-by-canon Star Wars storytelling. Star Wars: Visions Review

I love it when two completely separate parts of my entertainment life come together like this! Visions is a series of nine anime shorts based on Star Wars, with the creators (and we’re talking major studios and people in the anime industry) given free rein to do whatever they wanted, no need to stick to any canon or anything… and boy did they ever not! What’s it like? Given it’s a bunch of shorts how good is the hit rate? Let’s find out!
