The original Gundam series is a mix of obviously old-school animation with some plot lines that are ahead of its time. The influence of the series is obvious, but does it still hold up? My first watch of the blu-ray releases has coincided with this blog, so it seemed like an ideal show to review, albeit slowly, so let’s take a look at the first batch!
In this batch of episodes, Roy Mustang gets to be a bad ass, Ed and Al’s father makes an appearance, and everyone begins to piece together the truth about the homunculi and who is in their ranks. Quite an important bunch of episodes then!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood continues onwards, now featuring never-before adapted Manga storylines! People from a country called Xing, murder investigations and more await within! (or by clicking the “read more” button, if you like…)
Here we have four 15 minute OVA stories that were originally extras on the Japanese releases. Why they got a stand alone release I don’t know, but hey-ho. That’s neither here not there… Given they take place before the main story, and now we have been introduced to all the characters featured on it, it seemed like a good time to cover it.
My first re-watch of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood continues with the next set of six episodes. The lead villains step out of the shadows, unwelcome truths are revealed, and not everyone makes it out alive… *sigh*….
I recently decided it was long overdue to re-watch this series. I loved it when I first watched it and picked up the blu-rays a year or two back, but wanted to wait until I was in the right mood and had forgotten as much as I could about the plot. Well, now is the time, I’m looking forward to charting my second journey with Edward and Alphonse Elric on this blog…
Only being previously familiar with Part III I find myself once again in the unknown of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, now with its fourth set of lead characters (minus the returning Jotaro, though he seemingly isn’t a frequent as the newer members of the cast). What kind of start does Diamond is Unbreakable get off to? Well, a bizarre one, funnily enough!
