Mass Effect 3: Legendary Edition (PS4) Review

It’s time to cap off my first ever run-through of the Mass Effect Trilogy (via the PS4 Legendary Edition) by taking a look at the controversial third entry. All I really knew is that people didn’t like the ending so they patched in new cutscenes with more context and stuff but people still weren’t generally happy, but by the time the credits rolled I didn’t mind the ending really. Well, the one I got anyway, though again that obviously has all the added stuff from after people complained… Anyway, I did find things I didn’t like about the plot and gameplay, so it’s definitely a step down from ME2 as the general consensus seems to be, so let’s take a deeper look and find out why!

Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition (PS4) Review

Last year I completed the original Mass Effect’s PS4 remaster and really enjoyed the experience, remarking how I skipped on them originally because a friend had played them in front of me a lot back then. Well, Mass Effect 2 he only played the first half or so and then stopped so this not only had the actual fun of finally playing it but I got to see where the story is actually going (or I guess where it goes given the original Trilogy’s storyline has been complete for sometime now…) Happy to report improvements in both gameplay and story made this a very fun experience, so let’s take a look!

Mass Effect 1: Legendary Edition (PS4) Review

I’ve been wanting to play through the Mass Effect games for years, ever since seeing my friend play through most of the first game (an act that then meant I didn’t want to play it right away since the story was so fresh in my memory…) Well, after putting it off for years they release the “Legendary Edition” of all three games with some quality of life improvements and upgraded graphics so I saw my opportunity to finally experience the sweeping sci-fi saga for myself. As I haven’t played the original version this is purely talking about the Legendary version of ME1 which has had the most upgrades, so I’m afraid on this one occasion I have to ignore the original version of a game entirely rather than cover both at the same time like I’ve done in the past… With that said, let’s take a look!
