Resident Evil: City of the Dead & Underworld Review

As I mentioned in my previous post reviewing Welcome to Raccoon City I’d ran out of games to review alongside it, so I thought I’d instead pick up the next two RE novels which includes an adaptation of RE2, so it sort of works? Well, not really, but hey, why not? Underworld is another novel-original story so it’s another box ticked in my accidental bid to review every RE story at some point, so let’s take a look!

Seems strange to cover a remake of a game I’ve already covered on this blog, given it’s only been running for a few years (and games weren’t being reviewed for a good chunk of that), but here we are! The Resident Evil 2 Remake managed to not only be a great game in and of itself, but a game that lives up to the lofty legacy of the original Resident Evil Reamke, which still stands as one of the best entries in the series. Resident Evil 2 (PS1) Review

After yesterday’s look at the first CG film that starred Leon and Claire, it’s time to pop back over to the games that started it all and look at Resident Evil 2, the game that gave us the same duo in the first place. While it still suffers from a lot of the same problems that playing the first game in 2017 did, it does have some additions and little tweaks to talk about… so let’s get to it!
