Gundam SEED continues with more episodes that are often far closer to making it a remake of the original series than anything unique, though once again the differences are there once you look a bit closer. Sadly Flay is still here and it’s these episodes where she’s at her very worst. Can I bear with it? Let’s find out!

We arrive at our next Gundam series and it’s the start of one of the bigger “spin-off universes”, getting two full series, some OVAs and soon a film, so does that mean it’s right up there with the Universal Century stories? Erm… not in my book, anyway. Gundam SEED starts off using the blueprint of the original Gundam series but adding some more of the titular suits and a hell of a lot more teen angst. I’m watching the “HD” version, which means a lot of it is zoomed and cropped, but some of it has been reanimated! Sometimes for the worse, by all accounts… Anyway, let’s begin!

After roughly three months we finally reach the end of the Bleach: Arrancar Arc coverage. It’s been a long and twisty road, watching the anime adaptation of the arc with no filler breaks has certainly reinforced the idea that while it has its moments it’s no Soul Society Arc and at times feels made up as it went along rather than everything being planned. Still, does Tite Kubo stick the landing and deliver a satisfying end? Let’s find out!

After it got teased all the way back at the start of the arc (which seems like months ago now… probably because it was!) we finally see the big fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra, plus the other top three Espada show their powers and forms, making this chunk of episode a gold mine of very cool Tite Kubo imagery. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a new four-part CG series set in the video game canon, much like the three CG movies released over the last decade and a bit. In fact given the four episodes run about an hour and a half total and were all released at the same time means this is in reality just a fourth CG movie… Is it good though?
