Time to take a look at the just-finished-airing second half of My Hero Academia’s fifth season, adapting the Endeavour Training and Meta Liberation Army arcs. While the first arc had some good moments it’s the latter that really shone, casting light on our lead antagonists and not actually featuring the protagonists at all. “My Villain Academia” indeed! … Let’s take a look!

Visions is a series of nine anime shorts based on Star Wars, with the creators (and we’re talking major studios and people in the anime industry) given free rein to do whatever they wanted, no need to stick to any canon or anything… and boy did they ever not! We arrive at our next Gundam series and it’s the start of one of the bigger “spin-off universes”, getting two full series, some OVAs and soon a film, so does that mean it’s right up there with the Universal Century stories? Erm… not in my book, anyway. Gundam SEED starts off using the blueprint of the original Gundam series but adding some more of the titular suits and a hell of a lot more teen angst. I’m watching the “HD” version, which means a lot of it is zoomed and cropped, but some of it has been reanimated! Sometimes for the worse, by all accounts… Anyway, let’s begin!

After roughly three months we finally reach the end of the Bleach: Arrancar Arc coverage. It’s been a long and twisty road, watching the anime adaptation of the arc with no filler breaks has certainly reinforced the idea that while it has its moments it’s no Soul Society Arc and at times feels made up as it went along rather than everything being planned. Still, does Tite Kubo stick the landing and deliver a satisfying end? Let’s find out!

After it got teased all the way back at the start of the arc (which seems like months ago now… probably because it was!) we finally see the big fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra, plus the other top three Espada show their powers and forms, making this chunk of episode a gold mine of very cool Tite Kubo imagery.
