My latest review of the on-going Dragon Ball Super is up at Anime UK News and can be found HERE .

As I continue to play catch up with TV series from the last few weeks, my review of Boruto – Naruto the movie, has just gone up on AnimeUKNews and can be viewed by going HERE .

The original Gundam series moves forward with the next batch of episodes as I watch the Blu-ray release for the first time. Char leaves a notable interest-hole (which is a phrase I just invented) but the addition of Ramba Ral as antagonist is at least a decent trade off… (note that as this is based off the English territories release, the real Episode 15 that only ever existed in Japan is omitted from the review due to… well, it not existing anywhere, and it makes it easier if I stick to the English numbering.)

Hopefully I’m back from a short hiatus, and I’ll be posting the reviews of the things that aired or I’ve watched in the past month in the next few days (I’ve kept reviewing Who and Blake’s 7 at least, so they should be caught up quite quickly once I get pictures!)
Anyway, my review for the Blu-Ray release of My Hero Academia went up on Anime UK News a week or two ago, so I thought it would be a good excuse to get back in the swing of things on this blog. It can be found by clicking HERE .

My review of Dragon Ball Super Episodes 82 – 87 (of the Universe Survival Arc) is now online to read at Anime UK News HERE.

The original Gundam series is a mix of obviously old-school animation with some plot lines that are ahead of its time. The influence of the series is obvious, but does it still hold up? My first watch of the blu-ray releases has coincided with this blog, so it seemed like an ideal show to review, albeit slowly, so let’s take a look at the first batch!

In this batch of episodes, Roy Mustang gets to be a bad ass, Ed and Al’s father makes an appearance, and everyone begins to piece together the truth about the homunculi and who is in their ranks. Quite an important bunch of episodes then!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood continues onwards, now featuring never-before adapted Manga storylines! People from a country called Xing, murder investigations and more await within! (or by clicking the “read more” button, if you like…)

Here we have four 15 minute OVA stories that were originally extras on the Japanese releases. Why they got a stand alone release I don’t know, but hey-ho. That’s neither here not there… Given they take place before the main story, and now we have been introduced to all the characters featured on it, it seemed like a good time to cover it.

My first re-watch of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood continues with the next set of six episodes. The lead villains step out of the shadows, unwelcome truths are revealed, and not everyone makes it out alive… *sigh*….
