The Fantastic Four: First Steps Review

Time to catch up with the MCU and talk about “First Steps”, finally introducing an MCU version of The Fantastic Four… sort of. The film takes place in another universe entirely, presumably explaining why they haven’t appeared before now and due to the events of Doomsday/Secret Wars will be integrated into the MCU proper at that point. Due to this distance from the MCU though they decided to create a much more comic-accurate version of the super team and world they inhabit, which was really fun. Let’s take a look…

Fantastic Four – Origin (Fantastic Four Issues 1-10) Review

Our next look at big Marvel comic releases in rough order is the chunk of comics that most point to as the start of the Marvel comic universe as we know it, with “Marvel’s first family” the Fantastic Four due to it coming out first (not including the 40s Captain America stuff I looked at last time, which wasn’t released by Marvel just absorbed by them later) What are they like? Well, they’re full of 60s comic cheese and lots of inner-monologuing, as you tend to get with, well, 60s comics. Is it still fun to read though, or is it just worth it for the historical significance?

Fantastic Four (PS1) Review

This was an odd one, as I remembered quite liking this when I brought it at the time, and I know I at least played through it once with a friend, but then when I started looking at this retrospectively the online opinion of the game was rather harshly negative, including appearing on some “worst games ever” lists. So, now in 2020, do my opinion match up to the general consensus, or do I have some sort of blind spot for this game? Let’s find out!
