And so our watch is over… Ugh, I knew that would sound too cheesy, but I tried it in the end anyway… Well, Game of Thrones’ final season has appeared before us, and it’s been quite the ride, both actually watching it and watching the general fan reaction: from logical, to taking things far, far too seriously. What do I think?! Well, if you must know…

Game of Thrones – Season 8 Episodes 4 – 6 Review
… I really want to put something like “at last our watch is over”, but that’s a bit too cringey, so I won’t. Anyway, Game of Thrones has come to an end, and boy, those final two episodes, eh? Some of it I liked, some of it… not so much, but I was constantly entertained, which is the main thing, I guess! Let’s take a closer look so I can stop dancing around potential spoilers!
Game of Thrones – Season 8 Episodes 1 – 3 Review
We’re half way through the final season of Game of Thrones already, and we’ve had the long awaited showdown with the Night King and his army of the dead. Frankly that is all we’ve had, with episode 2 being entirely build up, and episode 3 being the entire battle. While it was good, and had some great moments, I can’t help feeling it was a bit of an anti-climax, probably because it wasn’t the climax… Let’s have a look, anyway!
Game of Thrones – Season 7 Overall Review
The seventh season of Game of Thrones can mostly be summed up by two things: characters finally meeting each other, and setting up the big finale. Now, there are also one or two big action set pieces, don’t get me wrong, but those were the main goals this season, and they were perfectly done! If I had been writing this blog back when I finally watched the series a few years ago (catching up via a Sky Christmas marathon) you’d have seen that I’m not someone who goes crazy about the show and every aspect of it, but I will definitely tip my hat to Season 7. Very few flaws and plenty of “can’t miss” TV. Let’s take an overall look at the season then, shall we!
Game of Thrones – Season 7 Episodes 6 & 7 Review
Game of Thrones’ Season 7 finale certainly achieved what it needed to: it gave some great moments, both action and dialogue-based, and set everything up for the big finale next Season. For that it’s hard to fault the last two episodes, though there are one or two things that stick out a bit… but nonetheless: hooray for good TV! Let’s take a closer look!
Game of Thrones – Season 7 Episodes 4 and 5 Review
Game of Thrones continues to head towards its end, with characters and plot lines closing and crossing, and a looming threat getting nearer and nearer… plus a dragon kills a bunch of people! What’s not to like? Let’s take a lot at these two episodes (stupid uneven episode count…)
Game of Thrones – Season 7 Episodes 1 – 3 Review
Game of Thrones returns for it’s penultimate season, with only seven episodes (though by all accounts the last two will be near-or-actually feature length) and so far, so good! The main thing is seeing all these individual storylines that have played out far away from each other the past six seasons start to come together. Characters that have never met before meet for the first time, and old allies re-find each other. It’s very rewarding viewing! Plus, plenty of battles and all that usual jazz. Let’s take a closer look!
