A week or two late but hey-ho, that’s a favourite show’s 60th anniversary for you, it’s time for the next and final older Mario Kart review to coincide with a MK8 Booster Pass DLC release! Mario Kart Wii might be the Mario Kart I’ve played the most despite it being released while I was in my mid-20s and that’s because two different generations of nephews would come round and play on this with me for hours on end, one pair going for the all courses cup every time. So while I played this by myself or with friends less than the previous entries I may well have racked up more time in this one total! So let’s take a look and try our best to ignore the motion controls…

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo (Wii) Review
The only other game I own that’s based on the original Dragon Ball series, “Revenge of King Piccolo” is essentially a Wii version of the previous game, Advanced Adventure, only focused solely on the Red Ribbon and Demon King Piccolo arcs with less modes and playable characters, BUT all in 3D, so… hooray, I guess. I brought it hoping it would be a modernised take on the GBA game but instead found a pretty safe, generic game instead. How does it hold up in 2023? Well, funnily enough, it’s much the same in that it’s a safe, generic action platformer. Let’s take a deeper look anyway… well, as deep as such a shallow game can go anyway!

While Umbrella Chronicles covered RE 0, 1 and 3 as well as giving us a pivotal moment in the RE timeline it’s sequel, Darkside Chronicles, covers RE 2 and Code: Veronica while showing as a bit of background between Leon and Krauser set before RE 4. So… not as interesting. Still, is it still fun to play though? That’s the main question! Let’s find out…

I was quite excited for this at-the-time-Wii-exclusive on-rails shooter back when it was released. Not only did it have an entirely new scenario that showed the final straw that took down Umbrella but it also had new mini-stories set during or in between the three games it covered (RE 0, 1 and 3). Story aside though, what was it like to play, and what’s it like now? Let’s find out!

Yes, I’ve never played a Pikmin game, so sue me. Go on! Try and sue me for not having played a Pikmin game! See how that ends up in court! … *ahem* Anyway, as I haven’t played a Pikmin game before, we have our first of three looks at the previous Smash games (Smash for Wii U having already been reviewed here on this blog!), starting with Brawl, which saw the Pikmin series debut. It’s the only Smash with a full-on, CGI cinematics story mode, but is that all that’s worth remembering about it?
Wii Sports Review

Well, when I started this blog I don’t think I ever saw a time when I’d review Wii Sports, but that’s this Smash Ultimate Countdown for ya! Yes, this was all I could think of to match with the Mii fighters in that game, but it makes sense. This game’s only characters are Miis, and the menu theme is in the game! (I assume it’s still in, anyway…) So let’s take a look at this hot-selling “classic”, shall we?
