Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny HD (Episodes 1 – 14) Review

It’s been a little while but it’s time to cover the second half of the Cosmic Era Gundam shows with Destiny, once again the “HD Remaster” version though this time it doesn’t cut out the recap episodes so there seemed to be little point in it really, forced 16:9 aside, but you know… I like consistency! The original SEED anime followed the original Gundam series quite closely for a lot of its run and while not as blatant Destiny does also have several things in common with Zeta Gundam, mostly a new protagonist who a bit of a knob. Let’s take a look at the first 14 episodes!

Super Dragon Ball Heroes – New Space-Time War Arc (Episodes 33 – 40) Review

The time has come once again to look at another “story arc” in the web series Super Dragon Ball Heroes, which as a reminder exists purely to promote the Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game and its collectable cards. Why do I bother? I don’t know, there’s some fun to be had wondering what Dragon Ball character is going to be randomly appearing next but other than that (and the fact I started so I feel compelled to continue) I have no idea why I put myself through it… Oh well, let’s take a look!

Attack on Titan – The Final Season: The Final Chapters Part 1 Review

Bloody hell, “The Final Season: The Final Chapters Part 1”? Really? Well, agonisingly slow release schedule aside we’ve reached the final chunk of the Final Season that’s not actually the finale, so next time we can actually put this series to bed. This one hour special was very good though, I think if you end up watching the series after its finished you’ll probably think very highly of the Final Season, not realising it was so slowly rolled out. Well I didn’t expect this to be the next Gundam review that found its way on this blog, but that’s the past two years of my life for you… The Witch From Mercury is the latest Gundam series (that actually debuted back in the autumn and I’m only now getting round to reviewing it, but that’s the last two years for you… again!) and features several departures from the norm, but for the most part these changes have worked really well. Plus the actual animation is top notch! Let’s take a look at the first Season before the second starts already!

My Hero Academia – Paranormal Liberation Arc (Episodes 114 – 131) Review

The “Paranormal Liberation Arc” (which must sound so weird to those who don’t follow the series…) is where the you-know-what really hits the fan and sets the series on course for its grand finale. You know the heroes journey, things must get really bad in order for their re-rise to be entertaining to follow, and it’s safe to say that at the end of this arc the Japanese super hero community is due for quite the re-rise… Let’s take a look!

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Arc (Episodes 1 – 13) Review

While it already feels like I’ve reviewed this 100 times due to covering it on Anime UK News for various articles, it’s time to actually take a deeper dive into the first chunk of the anime adaptation of Bleach’s final story arc (for now!): The Thousand Year Blood War. I’ve gone on record as saying the actual manga version of the story is … not great, but given the crazy animation quality plus the amazing returning voice cast and music composer this was a great weekly watch. Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Episodes 85 – 100) Review

At long last, after well over a hundred weeks, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai has finally come to an end. It’s been a … ride, maybe not a wild one, but definitely one! While this finale is fun and exciting with a great and extremely Shonen-y final battle I have to say that its not worth watching the other 90 odd episodes full of the same plot being slowly stretched thin until it snaps several times. Still, now I’ve stuck with it for pretty much the sole reason of writing about it on this blog, let’s write about it on this blog!

Bleach: Lost Agent Arc (Episodes 355 – 366) Review

It’s time to look at what a year or so ago would’ve been the “final episodes of the Bleach anime” but is now the final episodes of the first Bleach series before the currently airing Thousand Year Blood War series. As I mentioned in the first half I do enjoy the sometimes-called Fullbringer arc and honestly the final few episodes really outdo themselves, clearly showing that due to having a finite end they removed all filler and just straight up adapted the manga, and in terms of the final fight, really beautifully (though it pales in comparison to, once again, the currently airing TYBW anime…) So let’s take a look then!
