Bleach: Lost Agent Arc (Episodes 355 – 366) Review

It’s time to look at what a year or so ago would’ve been the “final episodes of the Bleach anime” but is now the final episodes of the first Bleach series before the currently airing Thousand Year Blood War series. As I mentioned in the first half I do enjoy the sometimes-called Fullbringer arc and honestly the final few episodes really outdo themselves, clearly showing that due to having a finite end they removed all filler and just straight up adapted the manga, and in terms of the final fight, really beautifully (though it pales in comparison to, once again, the currently airing TYBW anime…) So let’s take a look then!

Bleach: Lost Agent Arc (Episodes 343 to 354) Review

The Lost Agent arc is a controversial one as it strips the show back down to its original premise: it’s all set in Karakura Town, there’s lot of Ichigo’s school life on display and the plot comes slow and steady. This upset a lot of people, both when the manga chapters came out and the anime episodes, especially those who loved the series because of the Shinigami cast. I personally find it a fun “break” between two much longer and action-heavy arcs, so I don’t mind. Want to know more? Let’s take a look at the first half!

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Episodes 68 – 84) Review

At long last I can say the end is actually in sight as it has now been confirmed that Adventure of Dai will end with Episode 100, so all the setting up for the final battle this chunk of episodes do is going to pay off! Hooray! No more stalling! That being said this chunk of episodes also shows a sudden new trend of undoing previous hard work for the sake of pleasing fans, which… well, is a bit crap really. Let’s tale a look then!

Super Dragon Ball Heroes – Universe Creation Arc (Episodes 20 – 32) Review

Do you remember Super Dragon Ball Heroes, the web-only anime series created solely to sell cards to Japanese arcade goers? Well, I didn’t, at least until I was spell-checking something on this blog and one of my old reviews of the series popped up as a recommended page. Well, since my next big anime review series is taking some time I thought I’d watch the next “story” arc and throw up a review to keep things going for a bit. It’s pretty poor, but then given it’s a free advert I can’t complain too much… Can I?!

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 – Season 2 Review

After being less than impressed over Season 1 of this CG addition to the Stand Alone Complex series I wasn’t in a hurry to get round to Season 2, released nearly two years later. Still, looking back at the old review one of the things I did say was that the plot did pick up towards the end and I was interested in seeing where it was going, so did it end up going anywhere interesting? Let’s find out!

Attack on Titan – The Final Season (Episodes 76 – 87) Review

Attack on Titan’s final sea- … oh, right, the second half of Attack on Titan’s final sea- … Oh, okay then. The second third of the Attack on Titan’s final season was full of fun plot twists and really delved deep into the lore of the series, so much so that despite me poking fun at the “Final Season” now being three seasons long I’m happy they didn’t have to rush anything. So after a delay of a month or so let’s finally get a review up!

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Episodes 51 – 67) Review

I was going to open with a joke about it being nearly time to review another load of episodes (because yes, the series is somehow still going strong…) but thanks to a certain Toei Animation hacking incident the show went off the air for a month, so this review actually isn’t that far behind despite the delay of finishing it on my end. So, Adventure of Dai, eh? Yes, I really want to put “looks like its entered its final arc” but I’ve made that mistake before, so let’s just say “thinks have picked up” and leave it at that…
