Back when I launched this blog I went back and forth whether to do a “Wrestling Game Rundown” or one based on Dragon Ball games, with the latter appealing due to have comparatively few there are, but in the end I went with the childhood favourite. So here we are in 2018 and my first review of the year is also, at last, the first Dragon Ball game reviewed on the site! A dream team of Dragon Ball and Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is eye-wateringly beautiful, but maybe not as perfect as we’d all hoped. Let’s take a deeper look!

My review of My Hero Academia: Season 2 – Part 1 is now up on Anime UK News, and can be found HERE. Goes without saying given the hype surrounding it, but this really is a great show!

Time for my review of the final chunk of Dragon Ball Super episodes over on Anime UK News. It can be found HERE. It was weird and crazy roller coaster ride, but one I definitely enjoyed, and will miss on a Sunday afternoon…

My review of the last two (of the original 13) Dragon Ball Z movies on blu-ray is now available at Anime UK News HERE. Good times, though maybe a few years down the line I’ll do a more in-depth look at each film on this blog…

If you’re interesting in mostly filler episodes of the long running series, then you’ll enjoy my review of the 31st “box set” of Naruto Shippuden, now up on Anime UK News HERE!

My reviews of the finally released here DBZ movies for Anime UK News continues with collection five, featuring all three Broly films (a.k.a. “The good, the average and the awful”), which can be found HERE .

Time for a quick (ignoring the large copy and pasted Cast of Characters section…) look at Zeta Gundam’s overall ability to tell a good story. At 50 episodes it’s one of the longer Gundam series in general, but that’s not always a good thing… So, let’s finish this part of Universal Century off, shall we?

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam comes to its grizzly and depressing conclusion! Yes, it’s well known now that creator Yoshiyuki Tomino fell into depression during the course of Zeta, leading to the extremely dark ending to the series, and … yep, it is that, but is it still enjoyable, in a sick, “realistic war scenario” kind of way? Let’s find out!

My review of “Part 2” of the Dragon Ball Super UK blu-ray release is now up on Anime UK News and can be read HERE.
In case you’re wondering, my next Super streaming review will be at the end of March, coinciding with the end of Super (for now?), as I thought it would make the most sense, especially given a lot of the last episodes will be very samey.
