The wrestling game rundown adds another first for this blog: a Sega Mega CD review (or just Sega CD as it was known in the US!) Yes, once upon a time I actually had a Mega CD, and a few games on it to boot (it was my first exposure to Final Fight!) but Rage in the Cage wasn’t a highlight of my time with the Mega Drive add-on… In fact some of the decisions still annoy me to this day! Let’s take a look at it, anyway, shall we?
The wrestling game rundown reaches its first handheld with King of the Ring for the Gameboy, and despite never really having played it that much (I’ve never been much of a handheld gamer…), I said this would be a rundown of every wrestling game I’ve played, so… Here it is!
Starting next week, I’ll be doing a regeneration story a day leading into the Twelfth Doctor’s swan song at Christmas (though that review will be a few days after it airs, I’m sure…) Click more to see the schedule, and don’t forget this won’t be the only thing going up on my blog for those two weeks, trust me!:
Just to let you know, I haven’t given up blogging or anything, just took on some extra hours at work and therefore I have very little time to write at the moment. The overtime will last for another two weeks, but I’m still hoping to at least get the September Fourth Doctor Adventures and Doctor Who: Early Adventures reviews up in the next week… Don’t want to fall behind of those.
No Anime UK News review lined up just yet either, which quite frankly is handy at the moment…

Quick little notice…. thingy, next week, to “celebrate” the blu-ray (and DVD!) release of Alien: Covenant, I’ll be doing an “Alien Week”. Much like my Resident Evil week two months ago, it will cover the series, this time of films only, though I’ll be doing it in release order rather than in-universe chronological order, like I would normally do. This is because I haven’t actually seen Covenant yet, so I have to watch and review it during the week itself, so couldn’t place it second in line. Basically, it will be like this:
Monday 18th: Alien Review
Tuesday 19th: Aliens Review
Wednesday 20th: Alien3 Review
Thursday 21st: Alien Resurrection Review
Friday 22nd: Prometheus Review
Saturday 23rd: Alien Covenant Review.
As per usual there will be other reviews going up I’m sure, but these are actually set in stone. Hope you (and I) enjoy!

Very rarely do I order the ROH PPVs (especially given their price compared to all the wrestling I get for my 9.99…) but I normally buy the Final Battle shows and the Anniversary Shows. Sadly due to me buying it through the Fite App I’m unable to screengrab, so you’ll have to do with some pictures I managed to find via google images… hooray!
The 30th Royal Rumble event (but the 29th Annual… Get it right, WWE!) is in the books, and a great show it was too. Let’s have a look!
The second ever roster split is just a day away, so RAW wasn’t much, right? Well, no, as it turns out, and I’m not just talking about the new GMs for the two brands…
The WWE Network comes up with the goods again as the Cruiserweight Classic, 32 wrestlers (mostly not under a WWE deal) from all over the world take part in an elimination tournament. The presentation is based on “if it were a real sport”, which makes it completely different to anything I’ve seen, and that’s a good thing…
