Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (PS4) Review

Dissidia FFNT

Dissidia was released at the start of the year, close to Dragon Ball FighterZ and during a time I was still playing Assassin’s Creed Origins, so I passed on it. I had fun with the demo, but I wasn’t convinced it was “must buy”, and it seems I was right, at least at full price. A few months ago I picked it up for £15, and more than got my moneys worth, but I think at £40 I would have felt it lacked in content too much. In any case, let’s have a closer look at the game…

Hotline Miami (PS4) Review

Hotline Miami

A first, and to be honest probably a rare, indie game review! I barely have enough time to play new AAA games currently, let alone play smaller indie ones, as good a some may be. Anyway, I saw this and its sequel (which I’ll get to later, I’m sure) on sale for just a couple of pounds on the PS Store and as it had been in the back of my head for a while I went ahead and brought them! Hotline Miami is a top down shooter, with a good sense of humour and a fun and quick play style, so let’s have a look!

Dynasty Warriors 9 (PS4) Review

Dynasty Warriors 9

I’ve been a fan of Dynasty Warriors since the fifth entry, which sounds like I got in late, but then when you factor in how many not just core games, but spin-off titles I’ve played since then, then I’ve played A LOT of them. Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS4) Review

DRAGON BALL FighterZ

Back when I launched this blog I went back and forth whether to do a “Wrestling Game Rundown” or one based on Dragon Ball games, with the latter appealing due to have comparatively few there are, but in the end I went with the childhood favourite. So here we are in 2018 and my first review of the year is also, at last, the first Dragon Ball game reviewed on the site! A dream team of Dragon Ball and Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is eye-wateringly beautiful, but maybe not as perfect as we’d all hoped. Let’s take a deeper look!

My Top 10 Games of 2017

Top 10 Games

What’s this?! Me actually putting an article on the Game Reviews blog?! Crazy, I know! Seriously, I wish I had more time for this side of my life, but hey-ho. That doesn’t mean I can’t write a Top 10 though! … and what a weird Top 10 it is, due to being unemployed for a good portion of the middle of the year, I missed out on some key games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn, and while I hope to play both during the middle-of-the-year lull next year, it’s too late for this list… So let’s have a look at what’s left!
