Season 4 of The Flash reaches its big conclusion as The Thinker tries to out-think everyone, as he tends to do, and make the whole world extremely dumb. Does he do it!? Well, no, obviously, but more importantly, is the story on how he was stopped any good?!
Due to the odd scheduling of the Arrowverse this time round, Supergirl’s second third goes up for review just a week or so before Flash and Arrow get their finales put up! Carrying on from before Christmas, Supergirl and her team have to go up against Reign, the “worldkiller”, and then as it turns out, she’s not alone… Let’s have a look!
Agents of SHIELD’s fifth season gets off to an unconventional start, being set not only in space, but in a dystopian future where most of the world is in rubble. That sounds like a spoiler, but that’s just the setting! Plus that doesn’t even include the Kree, who appear en masse here. So let’s have a look at this ten-episode arc that seemingly acts the prologue to the bigger story to tell…
Arrow Season 6 starts to fall into old patterns again, as Oliver’s life is once again turned upside down and he slowly “realises” he can only do this by himself rather than rely on allies… *sigh*… Still, there were some highlights, this isn’t Season 3 / 4 territory or anything, but I wish the writers would come up with something else to do to their lead other than constantly re-realising the positive effect of friendship…
Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow manages to continue to be a legitimately funny adventure with a varied mix of heroes, though it doesn’t quite live up to Season 2, it’s certainly still far better than what it started out as. Some Legends leave, some new ones join, and generally everything is kept fresh and fun, with the odd bits of drama thrown in to the mix. It’s not perfect, but it was still always fun to watch every week. So without any more beating around the bush, let’s take an overall look at the season!
Legends of Tomorrow ends its third season with a big showdown against the powerful demonic entity known as Mallus, and boy… the showdown isn’t quite what you’re thinking right now. At all. Still, LoT is nothing if not unpredictable and funny, that’s for sure! So let’s have a look at these last three episodes…
Season 4 of the Flash continues to feel fresh and interesting as Barry and co. have to fight The Thinker, a villain that outsmarts them at every turn, rather than being yet another speedster. It’s worked really well, as has the funny addition of Elongated Man to “Team Flash”. While not everything worked perfectly, these middle 9 episodes do a good job of moving the plot towards its end point. So let’s have a closer look then!

The second half of The Walking Dead’s 8th season gets off to a painfully slow start, but picks up quite nicely, ending with a really strong set of episodes. This comes as a great relief because, as poor as some episodes have been, this is the blow off to a several-season-long story arc and it needed the grand finale to deliver. Let’s take a look at the end of the “All Out War”.
Legends of Tomorrow continues to be a source of great entertainment in the Arrowverse, able to be serious when needed but never loses its sense of fun and adventure. In this mid-way chunk of episodes we get a couple of appearances of John Constantine, once again played by Matt Ryan, as well as Kid Flash joining the team. Do these new additions work? Well, let’s see shall we!
Star Wars Rebels comes to a close in the best way possible: with a cracking set of episodes full of loss, action, interesting new spins on Star Wars themes, and a big, exciting finale that ends with a “what they did afterwards” montage. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better send off… Let’s take a deeper look!
