Very odd show, and one that required a fair amount of research to tell the whole story!
Before we get to a new long string of main Doctor Who content to sprinkle across my blog I thought I’d quickly fill in two gaps in the “Spin Offs” section, namely the last two Bernice Summerfield boxes and the second and third series of River Song… so two female archaeologists in a row! What If…? was always a great concept for a comic series and unsurprisingly it makes for a great TV series too, especially given so many Hollywood stars actually returned to voice their MCU roles. At the (roughly) halfway mark is where Gundam SEED starts to get interesting and drops most of the original Gundam series blueprint and even some… SOME of the teen melodrama as well. By reintroducing the neutral nation of Orb and giving it a key focus they steer away from the basic good vs. evil set up and go in interesting new directions. Want to know more? Let’s take a look!

So here we reach the end of the Excelis story and have the debut of the original Bernice Summerfield series on the blog (don’t expect any more of those any time soon… though I will at least finish the box set era of Benny soon!) What I thought was just an extra tacked onto the trilogy with The Doctor and Greyvorn turns out to be really important as with the return of Iris Wildthyme comes the actual explanation of the mysterious relic and how the planet ends up in ruins… Let’s take a look!

Back with more Red Dwarf and the second series already starts to move into more sci-fi territories, introducing small craft, moon surfaces and an android (or “mechanoid”) though only for a single episode (for now!) The final part in this Excelis “Saga” (with one Bernice Summerfield spin-off still to come!) isn’t quite up to the same level as the previous two that came before it. Decays isn’t bad, it’s just not up to the same standard and is a lot more straight forward, and less funny to boot. Oh well! What’s it like overall? Let’s find out!

I remember being really excited for WrestleMania X8, assuming that since it was a Nintendo console exclusive it would be like the AKI games on the N64… Boy, was I ever wrong. Time to take a look at the just-finished-airing second half of My Hero Academia’s fifth season, adapting the Endeavour Training and Meta Liberation Army arcs.
