So here we have it, the final full cast Blake’s 7 audio review. It’s a shame it had to come to an end, but with yet another key cast member down, there isn’t any other choice. So does Restoration, and indeed Blake’s 7 Audio Series… series as a whole go out with a bang?! Let’s find out!
Oh boy… Well, I was warned, even by the creator of the show himself (literally Tomino told people not to buy the DVDs in an insert on the DVD release…) but now I’ve finally started to watch Victory Gundam and it’s not good! Who would’ve thought that a show with a bad reputation even among diehards of the meta-series would actually not be very good? This all happened rather quickly (I still have one more PS4 game that I played before this to review, I guess that’ll be next week…), but that’s RE3 for you! Much like last year’s Resident Evil 2 Remake, the RE3 remake here is a stunning looking and easier to play recreation of the original game (once again already reviewed on this blog), but unlike the 2nd REmake this has some flaws, and doesn’t faithfully recreate the original 1-to-1. Is it still worth a play? Let’s find out!
Subterfuge is the last of the three “Seventh Doctor meets a renegade Time Lord while travelling alone” trilogy, and thankfully unlike the previous two, this is really good! A lot of that has to do with Rufus Hound’s incarnation of the Meddling Monk, but it’s also just a good script in its own right. So let’s take a look!
The fourth and final story in the ninth series of the Fourth Doctor Adventures (Numbers!) is an odd one. The setting and some of the scenes are really great and get the old imagination going, but some of the script is slow going, and the villain over-written. Does it balance out, or does it swing one way more than the other? Read on!
Series 9 of the “Fourth Doctor Adventures” continues onwards, but after the all-out classic of “Chase The Night”, what chance does “The Planet of Witches” have to stand out? What happens when Fallout has a child with Borderlands? Super Mario Bros. 3! Ha… ha… no, wait… that’s not right. The Outer Worlds! That’s the one! Seriously, The Outer Worlds is just the Bethesda Fallout engine in all but name, with the style and colour pallet more in-line with Borderlands. That being said, those two franchises are great, so this game’s great as well, right?
So after a couple of months of delay the big Arrowverse crossover has finally aired here in the UK (well, apart from the Batwoman episode, which I had to, erm… “source” from elsewhere…) and after all that build up it was … Good. Had a few great moments, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype surrounding it. Let’s take a closer look…
In the second of a strange makeshift “Seventh Doctor travelling alone meets a renegade time lord” trilogy, The Psychic Circus is actually, as you’d imagine, far more a prequel to the McCoy TV story “The Greatest Show in the Galaxy” than it is anything else, which is fine if you have a fond attachment to the serial… me? It’s alright, but did I need a two hour drop of backstory? Let’s find out!
Unexpected hit alert! Chase The Night was a genuine treat to listen to, with the still-fresh quartet of The Doctor, Romana, Adric and K9 finding themselves on a most unusual planet with a strange twist involving a train and the planet’s rotation. Want to know more? Well, read on then!
