The Flash season 4 had a very different feel to it thanks to the lead antagonist not being a speedster. The Thinker was a definite highlight, though credit also has to go to new side-character Ralph Dibny / The Elongated Man as well, who was a constant highlight himself. Either way, although it wasn’t perfect, it was a good season, with a tight direction and a fresher feeling. Let’s take an overall look!
Season 4 of The Flash reaches its big conclusion as The Thinker tries to out-think everyone, as he tends to do, and make the whole world extremely dumb. Does he do it!? Well, no, obviously, but more importantly, is the story on how he was stopped any good?!
Gundam ZZ finally succumbs to Gundam creator Tomino’s more bleak outlook (at the time) and the fun begins to turn into tragedy. While this quarter of ZZ isn’t devoid of humour, it’s certainly far more in line with Zeta than its first half, and possibly even pushes the “grim reality of war” button more than that did… So let’s take a look!
“Hey, you know what’s really popular right now?” “What?” “Star Wars! Let’s do that!” “But… we’re doing Bond films, do you want to shoot Bond into space and have him firing lasers?” “Why not? It’ll be big!” “Why n… *sigh* fine. Let’s have Bond fire some space lasers.” “Hooray!”
Official Secrets contains two stories and sees the Ninth Doctor finally get his Brigadier story, and UNIT era Brig to boot! Apart from the always powerful tool of nostalgia though, is there any reason to track down this volume of the “Ninth Doctor Adventures” beyond the extreme close-up of Christopher Eccleston on the cover? Well…
Series 7 of the Fourth Doctor Adventures comes to a climax with a traditional four-part story featuring the return of Sutekh! This actually the second time Big Finish has brought the character back, but there is something special about hearing Gabriel Woolf voice the evil Osiran opposite the Fourth Doctor once again. Plus Sutekh-aside, there are some fun new characters as well! So let’s dig in, shall we?

Due to the odd scheduling of the Arrowverse this time round, Supergirl’s second third goes up for review just a week or so before Flash and Arrow get their finales put up! Carrying on from before Christmas, Supergirl and her team have to go up against Reign, the “worldkiller”, and then as it turns out, she’s not alone… Let’s have a look!
The Bad Penny, despite having a pretty boring title and being set in London AGAIN, is actually really entertaining, a lot more than the previous story in the Fourth Doctor Adventures S7. Time paradoxes, aliens, time-displaced people, it’s a fun hour-ish ride, so let’s take a closer look!
I wrote and submitted this a few weeks ago, so completely forgot about it… Oh well, rare double upload today! Here is my review of Naruto Shippuden Box Set 32, which was mostly filler, so… Oh well.
