Gundam Unicorn’s next two OVAs cover similar ground, to varying degrees of success, but for the most part it’s a great slice of Gundam. Also OVA 4 sees the debut of Bright Noa, making this feel like proper Universal Century Gundam! Let’s take a look!
A couple of months ago Big Finish did a “best of the year so far” sale, where everything returned to its pre-order price, so after thinking about it for a while, my enjoyment of the War Master set last year lead me to buy the two spin-off releases he appeared in, starting with this! Gallifrey, as a series, never appealed to me. Gallifrey politics was always a negative rather than a positive, and Lalla Ward hasn’t exactly won me over with her performances in the Fourth Doctor audios, but I can say this: There are two stories here that were fantastic! So let’s take a look at the set as a whole, and see what worked and what didn’t, in my opinion, of course!
Daredevil Season 1 is considered by many, including myself, to be one of the finest examples of comic book TV shows, and indeed TV shows in general. Daredevil Season 2 was half that good, but the second half failed to keep up the momentum. Daredevil Season 3? Well, it may be in the running to be the best of them all, or at the very least a return to form that can live up to the original series…
Castlevania returns for a second season, and finishes off the modified version of Castlevania III with flourish. It’s a slow starter, and there is a lot of “the internal politics of Dracula’s court” going on, but it picks up in a big way. So let’s have a look at these eight episodes, shall we?

Daredevil’s third season comes to a close with a satisfying final four episodes, though with one small misstep in Episode 10. Does this rare mistake is pacing ruin the end of such a great series in any significant way? Read on!
Spider-Man is a lot of people’s dream game, allowing you to properly feel like your playing as the titular hero, swinging across New York, helping innocent people with small crimes while trying to tackle bigger plots from crazy villains… I have to say though, whether you a fan of the hero or not, this game is extremely enjoyable, taken to excellent when you factor in a really well written and acted storyline. So whether this a dream come true or you’re looking for a fun open world game to play, let me tell you why you should pick up Spider-Man…
Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for Matt Murdock / Daredevil, along comes a super-talented corrupt agent wearing his own suit! Typical. Seriously though, these five episodes are pretty much entirely about turning Agent Poindexter into Bullseye (though without that codename…) and it does that brilliantly. Let’s take a closer look!
Three years after the events of Char’s Counterattack we have the Gundam Unicorn series, which despite sounding a bit crap, is actually really good! This comes from the kind of budget and attention that’s afforded OVAs rather than a stricter TV schedule, but it’s also a credit to the rather out-there plot created in the original novels the series is based on. It’s my 500th published review! Between Anime UK News, this (two-part) blog and a few oddities, this is review #500, and boy is that a weird thing. So, how to celebrate? Well, I couldn’t really think of anything major after blowing my first written review ever on celebrating 200 reviews, so I thought I’d review a childhood favourite as a fun one-off. Action Force: The Movie, known pretty much every where else as “G.I. Joe: The Movie” (but this is me nostalgically looking back, so screw that!), is an odd one. It takes the often more… I hate to say realistic, but the more… grounded idea of an international force trying to stop a terrorist group and turns it into pure science fiction. A lot of people hate it for that reason, but I can’t do anything other than love it… and here’s why!
