So Attack on Titan comes to an end… next year, but here is the first half of the finale! Yes, the modern classic is on its last legs, and while I was debating covering this on the blog due to not having covered the previous three seasons for one reason or another, the fact that this won’t be the only thing on this site that has the last few chunks of episodes reviewed but not the first (though I will get to them eventually!) made me think “why not?”. So how was it? Very weird, is how it was. The end of the previous season pretty much wrapped up the whole “last of humanity cowering behind walls from Titans” story and now we’re suddenly in a world war scenario. Let’s have a look…

Doctor Who: The Song of Megaptera Review

Song of Megaptera is one of the more interesting Lost Stories in terms of its history. It started off as a Fourth Doctor TV script, then was reworked into a Fifth Doctor script that would’ve seen Turlough debut as a person living inside the giant whale (more on that in a bit…) and then finally reworked as a Sixth Doctor story for Season 22, before being dropped. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) Review

So I finally gave up on the third GBA game and/or the DS games getting a digital re-release for now, so before I look into sneaky and murky emulation there is still one “Metroidvania” style Castlevania game I officially own and that’s the out-right classic Symphony of the Night. As mentioned in my reviews of the first two GBA games (which were a while ago now, thanks to the Scrolling Sundays marathon…), I had somehow never played SOTN until just now, but you’ll not be surprised to find out that it lives up to its lofty reputation. Doctor Who: The Doomsday Contract Review

The second of the new double bill of Fourth Doctor Lost Stories jumps ahead a few seasons and sees us land slap-bang in the middle of the Douglas Adams-y era of The Doctor and Romana II. Thor Review

Thor was the riskiest early movie in the MCU in my eyes, Iron Man was equally unknown but at least it had the “cool suit” aspect for it, Thor just had old fashioned lingo and magic, which didn’t fit with other films at all. Somehow of course they pulled it off, not only casting Thor and Loki perfectly but somehow pulling off Asgard and their magical ways and had it fit the films that came before and after it. Let’s take a look!

Doctor Who: Return of the Cybermen Review

Return of the Cybermen is an interesting Lost Story as it’s the original script for what became “Revenge of the Cybermen” and written by Cybermen co-creator Gerry Davis, but the script was rewritten by Robert Holmes after he wasn’t satisfied with this one. Was he right? Well… quite possibly, but still! Let’s take a look at what “could have been” had the script editor not decided to exorcise large chunks of the script, shall we?

Turn-A Gundam – Episodes 1 – 16 Review

Turn-A Gundam is a very odd series to cover. It’s pretty much the antithesis of Victory Gundam, that series being all negative and depressing, and this being all positive and full of hope.
