Sometimes I think the “Overall Review” isn’t very different from the part reviews, just a convenient place to get, well, an overall opinion. With Gundam Wing it’s odd because when looked at as a whole a few issues really get highlighted, especially an inescapable feeling of it being written on the fly. Does this hurt the series overall, or is it still worth a watch? Let’s take a look…

Warriors of Fate (Arcade) Review
After a three week stay with CAPCOM-like-but-not-quite Rushing Beat games it’s time to return to a good old fashioned CAPCOM scrolling beat ‘em up, one featured on the Beat ‘em Up Bundle no less (which means these screens were taken many months ago at this point!) Warriors of Fate is a unique one in that it’s not only based on a manga that was based on the book that was based on Three Kingdoms era of China, but also the English language version changes all the names and locations, rendering that interesting titbit pointless. Oh well! It’s also a beat ‘em up me and my friend first played via the recently released collection, so no “Thoughts Then” paragraph here! Let’s take a look! Exclamation marks!!
Continue readingTransformers: War for Cybertron – Siege Review
What is it with Netflix and forcing me to watch CG shows? Admittedly using the Transformers franchise at least makes sense as it, currently, lacks any human characters, and seeing giant robots in CG is a lot easier to take, but still! If I’m honest I had no intention of watching a new Transformers cartoon, but then I heard more about it, that it uses designs closer to the classic 80s cartoon I loved growing up and has references to, and features, death and “killing”, making it closer in tone to the Transformers animated movie than the squeaky clean TV show, I was interested, and it was only six 20-ish minute episodes, so… Why not? Was I disappointed or did it live up to these expectations? Let’s find out!
Continue readingDW: Time Lord Victorious – Master Thief & Lesser Evils Review
The next stop in the Time Lord Victorious story arc is a pair of “Short Trips”, basically 40 minute pieces of prose read in audiobook style by one actor/actress, and in this case these two trips feature Masters who have never really appeared in Big Finish audio stories (for obvious reasons, though less so now there are so many recasts!) So what are they like, and how do they fit into the Time Lord Victorious story arc? Let’s find out! … as much as we can at this point.
Continue readingWWF Smackdown! (PS1) Review
WWF Smackdown! is very much the wrestling game equivalent of “from humble beginnings”, as this first entry in the series is, erm… lacking in a lot of departments, to put it nicely. It came out just a few months after I’d gotten WrestleMania 2000, so I only played it via renting it out once, and then playing around friends’ houses. Was I wrong to not give it a fair shake?! Let’s… okay, I think we know the answer, but let’s take a look anyway!
Continue readingDoctor Who: Time Lord Victorious – The Knight, The Fool and The Dead Review
Here we go then! The much hyped and talked about “Time Lord Victorious” inter-connected story arc kicks off with this 192-page novel. It sets the scene for what’s to come more than it tells a stand-alone story, but that’s okay, because by the final chapter I was really looking forward to what’s to come! So let’s kick the multi-format story strand off with the long winded “The Knight, The Fool and The Dead”.
Continue readingMobile Suit Gundam Wing – Episodes 41 – 49 Review
While the road has been bumpy, full of radical direction changes and reorganisations galore, Gundam Wing reaches its finale and somehow we’ve ended up with a very familiar Earth vs. The Colonies set up, though one where the leaders of both sides aren’t your typical villain, and our “heroes” aren’t on either side. Does the finale pay off? Let’s find out!
Continue readingThe Peace Keepers (SNES) Review
It’s time to finish what in Japan is the Rushing Beat trilogy, but for us is three games that happen to feature a character that looks similar but has a different name to ones in other beat ‘em up games made by the same company. How does “The Peace Keepers” stack up the two games that came before it? What colossal localisation error ruins the game entirely?! Let’s find out!
Continue readingDoctor Who: The Elite Review

We reach the Fifth Doctor in our look at the Lost Stories range (not including the story I’ve already covered when it was released, obviously…) and we kick off with a bang! The Elite is one of the better Lost Stories, most importantly if you go into it without spoilers. This was my second time listening to it, and while it was still good nothing beats the memory of that first time reveal… Want to know more? Well, listen to it first, you’ll thank me! … Want to get spoiled anyway, or just want my thoughts? Read on!
Continue readingThe Walking Dead – Season 10 Part 2 Review

Well, after a long wait the season finale of Season 10 aired… except now it isn’t the Season 10 finale, instead there will be a third batch of Season 10 episodes before what has been revealed as the final season… so I guess I’ll call that “Season 10 Part 3” whenever they end up airing… Anyway! Let’s review what was, at the time at least, planned to be the second and final half of the 10th season, shall we?
